Cory at Liberty at the age of 25 years old

We acquired Sera's dam, Sweet Chloe, from Kumi Smedley when "Chloe" was about 7 months pregnant with Sera.  She is one of the few remaining Veneziano fillies of breeding age in the ATA.  We lost Chloe to EPM when Sera was around 1 1/2 months old and she was raised as an orphan.   She was approved into the PSB Book as her dam passed away prior to her inspection with the ATA.  She scored a 53 at her mare inspection with a 9 on her walk - the head inspector, Brad Kerbs, stated that her walk was the best walk he had seen all year.  She was Reserve High Point at her inspection as a 4 year old.  She was started under saddle late as a late 5 year old and was out competing in Eventing within a few months.  She progressed from Beginner Novice to Training Level within 4 horse trials and thus far has not had any XC faults.  She was pregnant with her first foal during most of her horse trials and after being used for summer camp, she came home to give birth to her colt, Saraceno (by Tatendrang *Pb*) who was named Premium at his inspection and was sold to a syndicate within 24 hours of his birth.

"Emma" was retained as Anissa's personal riding horse and to replace her dam, Encore, in the breeding shed.  She was shown in hand as a young horse and was very highly scored each year frequently scoring in the upper 70's/low 80's.  She was HOY for USDF as a yearling.  At the age of 3 she was inspected and approved with the ATA with an overall score of 53, including a 9 for her type.  She was Reserve High Point at the Annual Convention in 2010.  She was lightly backed as a late 4 year old and shown lightly at Training Level (dressage) while pregnant with her first foal, Emerald Phoenix (by Tatendrang *Pb*).  Since she has been weaned from her foal she has come back into work slowly due to time constraints on Anissa's part but it is hoped that the team will be out competing in 2016.
We acquired “Val” in 2007 from Suzette Bernhold.  Val has been a broodmare throughout her life after she suffered a career ending injury at the age of 2 ½.  Prior to her injury she had been shown in hand and was the  Champion of the Mare/Foal show at the Annual Convention where she scored over 80%.  Val was inspected by the ATA and approved for the Preliminary Stud Book with scores of “8’s” across the board (she was excused from any of the movement scores).  She has produced 4 fillies and two colts to date.  Her first filly, Phyra, by Kitfox has shown at “B” level hunter shows at the 3’ level and is a consistent winner.  Her filly, Priceless, by Kreschendo *Ps* was the Reserve Champion Mare at her Mare Inspection and is being aimed at the dressage ring.  She has had 2 fillies to date for Emerald Acres: Pearl Jam, by the (now gelded) Emerald Impressions, whom has been eventing with her Amateur Owner at Training Level Eventing. She is also the dam to Pajama Party, by Impressionist, who scored a 53 (including a 9 on her trot) at her mare inspection for the ATA and who is also approved (and was site reserve champion) for the ISR.  Her two colts are both by Tatendrang *Pb* one has been sold to an Amateur Owner and is destined for the dressage ring, the other is a stallion prospect and is still for sale.

Encore is our foundation mare.  We petitioned the Board of Directors of the American Trakehner Association after 9 years of discussion to allow her to be presented for inspection for the betterment of the breed as she is a 3/4 TB 1/4 TK.  In 2005, at the 2005 Annual Convention in Houston, TX she was presented and approved.  Prior to her retirement to the broodmare barn in 2000, “Cory” competed in Hunters and Jumpers.  She proved herself to be extremely athletic and was rarely beaten over fences.  She competed at the local levels and at some rated shows in Florida up to the 3' divisions.  She also competed at a few Dressage shows through Training Level, but at home we schooled up to 3rd Level movements.  Cory is the dam to the following horses:  Emerald Impressions (2003 gelding by Impressionist who has shown Second Level Dressage with his owner and has been shown successfully at Novice Level Eventing, as well as at Hunter/Jumper local level shows), Emerald Fire (2007 filly by Oskar II *Pg* who was shown extensively in hand and has consistently been ATA HOY as well as the USDF HOY, Reserve High Point Mare of her Inspection and the 2010 In Hand Futurity Winner), Emerald Tsar (2008 gelding by Oskar II *Pg* who shows in the hunters with his Jr Rider), and Emerald Ice (2010 filly by Oskar II *Pg* who is being shown at Training/First Level with her Amateur Owner), and Emerald Legacy (by Tatendrang *Pb* who is for sale and shows aptitude for Eventing or Jumpers).

We have specifically chosen our mares for their pedigrees, athletic ability, and temperaments.  We combine the best Thoroughbred bloodlines with athletic Trakehner lines.  All of our mares are fully approved with the American Trakehner Association, and we compete our mares whenever possible.
