Tatendrang
Inspection
Tate was inspected by the American Trakehner Association in October of 2008 when he was 2 1/2 years old. He was approved with a total score of "60" with "8's" for walk, trot, canter, jumping, and over all impression.
Official comments: "Tatendrang embodies the type required in the modern Trakehner sport horse." "As stated, Tatendrang's type is that of the modern Trakehner sport horse and this highly desired quality carried over and was clearly demonstrated in his gaits and jumping aptitude. Tatendrang possesses a good marching quality walk. Impulsion, elasticity, and lightness produced a ground covering walk illustrating good use of the hindquarters. At the trot, Tatendrang flexes and uses his joints well. A clear, two-beat rhythm results in a light and balanced trot. The canter, likewise, was balanced and uphill. He has an expansive, reaching leg that results in a ground covering gait. Self-carriage was always present in his walk, trot, and canter. The athleticism of Tatendrang was also demonstrated in the jumping chute. He was extremely willing. As in his gaits, his jumping was balanced, clever, and with the technique was good. Tatendrang leaves you with a good general impression. Temperament and manners were good. He could have had more muscular development. This may occur as he matures. Overall, Tatendrang is a very athletic stallion." ~ Sam Eidt, DVM
