Inspection Highlights

Photos coming soon!

We took Emma to the 36th Annual ATA Convention in Jacksonville, FL Nov 11 - 13, 2010.  On Thursday Nov 11, she was in the Mare and Foal show.  The judge was Lars Gehrman (the Director of Breeding for the Verband).  Emma won the 3 year old class, then went on to win the Filly Championship!  She also had the highest score of the day from Herr Gehrman.  During the Championship presentation, Herr Gehrman honored us by saying that "This is the type of mare that we should be breeding and she needs to go to the breeding shed."  On Friday Nov 12, she was inspected and approved into the OSB of the ATA, with the overall score of 53 points.  She and a 7 year old mare were tied with the highest marks, and per the tie breaker the higher marks for movement is made Champion.  The 7 year old had a one point higher mark and therefore was Champion, making Emma the Reserve Champion Mare of the ATA Convention Inspection (13 mares presented).  The inspector was Eberhard Biesnthal, and he gave Emma a "9" on type and commented that "there is no mistaking who her sire is".

2010 Show Highlights

2010 was a stellar year for Emma, this filly just gets better as she gets older!  She attended 3 shows this year under 2 very good judges and obtained very respectable scores.  Her median for the nation was 76.1% and her median for the ATA was a whopping 80.3%!  Along the way she received extremely good comments from the various judges who have all commented that she is an excellent sport horse prospect and a great example of her breed type.  She ended the year as ATA HOY and she was the winner of the In Hand Futurity for the ATA (against 3 year olds of both sexes in the ATA).  The above and below photos of her were taken at the Southern Hospitality Dressage Show in Conyers, GA.  She qualified for the Regional Championships, but we opted to not show in them as the Championships were in the late afternoon on Sunday after a long weekend of showing and we had a long trip home.  Photo credit to Alicia Frese of Frese Frame Photography.

Emma ended the 2009 show season as ATA Horse of the Year for the 2 year old Filly class with a median score of 76.9%!  She was 13th in the Nation with the median score of 75.8%.

"Emma" was born on May 1, 2007.  She is out of Encore and by the Trakehner stallion, Oskar II*Pg*.  She shows great promise to excel in any discipline at the moment, although dressage should be her forte.  This filly has been long awaited and is not for sale.

2009 Show Highlights

Emma at the show in Atlanta Sept 2009

Emma at the show in July 2009

Emma has had yet another successful show season in 2009.  Her first show of the year was on Valentine's day and was not her best show.  The weather was miserable that weekend and she was in a growth spurt.  She still managed to qualify for Regional's and was 2nd in her class, but she did not score her normal type scores with only a 74.7%.  In July, she went to another show under the same judge, Bill Solentjyes, and again qualified for Regional's, won her class, and scored higher with a 75.8%.  In September, she went to the show in Atlanta and was very well received.  Jos Severiens gave her a 77.5% in both her 2 year old class (which she won against some very nice fillies) and in her Trakehner class.  She was high point Trakehner at that show.

2008 Show Highlights

It is official!  Not only is Emma Horse of the Year for the ATA, but she is also HORSE OF THE YEAR IN THE NATION FOR 2007 FILLIES!!!!!

We will be traveling to Denver, CO for the 2008 USDF Convention to pick up my award for this great achievement.  I am so proud of my girl!!!  Her median score for the year was 79.3%!!!

Emma started the show season off with a bang at the Willow Bend South Dressage Show on July 12, 2008.  Under judge Jos Severiens she won her class and scored a 79.7%!  She received 8's for conformation, walk, and general impression, with a 7.9 for her trot.  Jos also commented in the Fillies Championship Class that there were only 10ths of a point between Grand Champion and 3rd place (Emma was 3rd in the Championships).  Next Show is the GDCTA Show in Atlanta, GA.  Photo above is from that show.   Emma showed her stuff in Atlanta again this year.  On Saturday she was 2nd in a large class of 10 EXCELLENT fillies!  Her score was a 79.3%!  She then went on to WIN the ATA class with a 78.9%!  On Sunday she unfortunately showed her "redheaded tendencies" in front of a judge who does not like misbehaviors so she scored much lower (75%) and only placed 6th in that same large class of fillies.

2007 Show Highlights

Emma made her show debut on August 11, 2007 at the Summer Sizzler II show in Gainesville, Florida.   She proved that she is the superstar that she thinks she is by scoring a 77.7% under judge Carter Bass!  She had an "8" for her conformation and upper 7's for her walk, trot, and overall impression!  She won the 2007 Filly class and the judge commented that she "just wished she had trotted during the Championship class so she could have pinned her."  Emma then followed up from that show by going to a 2 day show in Atlanta, Georgia (photos above).  After a LONG trailer ride through HORRENDOUS thunderstorms (what should have taken 4 1/2 hours ended up taking almost 9 hours) she did not show at her best from being so exhausted and also thanks to the large and deep mud puddles in the ring.  She still scored a 73.5% under Jos Severiens, then scored an 81.1% under General Burton on the second day of the show.  Emma ended the year ranked #10 in the Nation for the USDF for all breeds in the Fillies of 2007 division.  She would have been #1 for the ATA, except for a glitch in paperwork that kept her from qualifying.

Emma is by the great Grand Prix dressage stallion, Oskar II *Pg* and it has been often remarked on how much like her sire she is.  Here is a photo of Oskar II *Pg*:
