There will be a Mare/Stallion Inspection for the American Trakehner Association on October 3, 2008 at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

 

The inspection is open to the public and is free to attend as a spectator.  Anyone with a mare, foal, or a stallion to be inspected will need to pre-register with the office of the American Trakehner Association, if there are any questions we will be willing to help out in any way.

I am putting the basic information on this page about contact information and also about the facility.  Please follow the following links for information about the Schedule for the day, Stabling, and Hiring a handler/braider/other professional.

Facility Information

The Inspection will be at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, which is a state of the art, new facility on the West Side of Jacksonville, Florida.  We will be stabled in Barn B, and the inspection will occur in the Main Arena (which is indoors).

Hotel Information

We are working on getting a group rate for a hotel that is close to the facility.  I will post all information about the hotel as soon as it is finalized.

Professionals for Hire

If you wish to be put on the list for any of the following services please contact Anissa!  We need braiders, photographers/vidoeographers!

Handlers

It is not mandatory to hire a handler for your horse at the inspection; however, the following professional handlers will be available to handle your mare or stallion for a fee (listed).  You will need to contact the handler directly to make arrangements with them to book their services.  Each of the handlers will be available to handle a horse at the last minute as well at the inspection.

Braiders

Your horse will need to be properly turned out which will include braiding (hunter or dressage type braids are acceptable).  The following braiders will be available to braid your horse should you not want to do this yourself.

Photographer

The following photographer will be on site taking photos of the horses at the inspection.  Please contact the photographer directly for copies of the photos or if you would like to have posed photos taken of your horse.

Brander

There will be a brander available at the inspection.  You will need to submit the paperwork and fees to the American Trakehner Association in advance of the inspection.  Also, you will need to bring the original registration paperwork to the inspection to be marked as branded.
