Tanzania *E*'s 2005 filly, Tejas, was named Reserve High Point Mare at her Inspection in Rogersville, TN today! Congratulations to Pam Norton (breeder) and to Dianne Roberts (owner)!August 22, 2010:
We just learned today that the first foal by Tate won the 2010 Filly class at Fair Hill Breed Show and was Reserve Champion in the foal division, there by qualifying for the Regional Championships at Dressage at Devon!!! We have moved Tate from KD Trakehners in WI to Andrew Palmer's in Eufaula, AL. He will be at Andrew's until the ATA Convention in Jacksonville this November while he completes his performance requirements for full approval with the ATA. We wish to thank David Beattie, Kevin O'Meara, Silvia Geyer, and the rest of the staff at KD Trakehners for the fantastic care that he received at their facility and the excellent start that Silvia gave to our "big boy."July 28 - 29, 2010: Dorothy's Ruby Slippers' new owner, Kathryn Kirche of KY took her to her very first show! Ruby showed her good breeding paid off and not only was she as cool as a cucumber at the show (even napping between classes) but she placed and scored well - even scoring an 8 and an 8.2 for her walk under a very tough judge! Congratulations Kathryn and Ruby!!
July 17, 2010:
Emerald Fire and Emerald Ice went to their first show of the 2010 season! "Emma" was the superstar that she always is and scored very well, winning high point Trakehner of the show as well as the ATA class. She was 2nd in her 3 year old class. "Ellie" was 2nd in the weanling class and (more importantly) handled her first trailer ride, going to her first show, being braided, etc as if she had been doing it for years. Like mother, like daughter - Ellie loves to be the center of attention and seemed to enjoy "showing off".May 15 - 16, 2010:
Tate went to his first under saddle dressage show this weekend! He was well behaved and competed successfully in Training Level Tests 2 and 4 on each day. His scores did improve on the 2nd day after he had settled in with a 65% for T2 and a 63% for T4 (up from 61% and 59% respectively). Thank you Silvia for all that you are doing with him!May 3, 2010:
Lovely Lady had her foal today! This was also Tatendrang's first foal born at Emerald Acres! It is a bay colt with a large half moon on his forehead and 2 partial white socks on his left side. Mom and baby are doing well. This colt is for sale - private treaty. Please contact Anissa for more details.April 27, 2010:
Tatendrang's first foal was born today in PA. It was a filly and the owner reports that she is "perfect" with an "exquisite" face and a friendly personality. Looking forward to pictures!April 22, 2010: Encore had her foal early this morning! The baby is a lovely, long legged filly by Oskar II *Pg* (this is the 3rd foal from this exceptional cross). Very friendly and curious about the world. Only one very unusual white mark on her forehead. Mom and baby are both doing well. This filly will most likely be for sale - please contact Anissa for information if you are interested.
April 3, 2010: Pennant's Valentine had her foal today! She snuck it in on us while we were away getting hay in the middle of the day! Baby is a filly by Impressionist and both mom and filly are doing well. This filly is being retained for our broodmare herd.
March 30, 2010: We will have our mares up on Mare Stare again this year to be foaled out! Please join us in watching, Valentine, Cory, and Lady have their babies. Cory and Lady's babies are for sale after they are born, and Valentine's is for sale if it is a colt. Valentine is in foal to Impressionist, Cory is in foal to Oskar, and Lady is in foal to Tatendrang!

Emerald Tsar (Nick) went to his first show of the season this weekend. He was 3rd in his 2008 Colts class and was High Point Trakehner! Bill Solyntjes was the judge.February 1, 2010: Tate is officially started under saddle. According to his rider, Silvia Geyer, he has been very easy to work with under saddle and seems to understand that he "has an important job to do." He was started on January 12, 2010 and is already walk/trot/canter under saddle, does not need to be lunged prior to riding, and is starting to take up a connection with the bit. Photos will be posted on Tate's page as we receive them.

It has been an exciting week at Emerald Acres this week. Our pony, Once in a Blue Moon (Sassy) has been sold! Congratulations to her new owner - I am thrilled that she is going to such a great home and will hopefully get a chance to see what she does in the ring. Our stallion, Tatendrang, has also made the journey to KD Trakehners in Watertown, WI safely. The decision was made to send him there so he could be started under saddle. Tate will be in WI through the breeding season and is available via fresh shipped .January 2, 2010! Happy New Year to everyone! We are expecting an exciting year at Emerald Acres this year! Our stallion, Tatendrang, will have his first foal crop on the ground - there are 7 foals expected between April and July. We have 3 mares in foal here at the farm: Pennant's Valentine is in foal to Impressionist, Encore is back in foal to Oskar, and Lovely Lady is in foal to Tate. They are due between April 14 and May 5! We also have big plans for getting Tate started under saddle and shown this year - hopefully to have him complete his performance requirements and be fully approved with the ATA. And we will of course be showing our young stock both in hand, and under saddle.
